Moringa Shown Highly Toxic to Breast Cancer
Researchers have just discovered that extracts of moringa oleifera seeds were so toxic to breast cancer cells that they killed up to 95% of them within 72 hours. We don’t know if moringa will fight breast cancer in humans yet, but a recent study from India did show that those eating moringa daily had 75% less risk of lung cancer. What makes moringa so powerful? It’s a rich source of quercetin, myrecetin and kaempferol: all flavonoids known to fight cancer. This leafy green super vegetable is also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, and the dried leaves are 30% protein by weight. That’s why moringa is often used as a food in Central and South America and Southeast Asia (which might help explain those regions’ very low cancer rates). Moringa has also shown health benefits in clinical trials: it lowered blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides in adults with type II diabetes (dose: 8 grams powdered leaf per day), while in healthy postmenopausal women it sharply increased blood antioxidant levels, also reduced blood sugar levels, and raised hemoglobin by an amazing 17% (dose: 7 grams leaf powder daily).
